School Readiness
School Readiness Program (4-6 Years)
Confident & Prepared for the Future
Our School Readiness Program provides a structured yet play-based curriculum designed to ensure children transition confidently into formal schooling. We focus on developing the essential cognitive, social, emotional, and practical skills needed for success in a school environment.
- Literacy & numeracy foundations: Engaging activities build early reading, writing, and mathematical skills in a fun, stress-free way.
- Self-regulation & independence: Children practice following routines, managing emotions, and problem-solving, preparing them for the classroom setting.
- Collaboration & teamwork: Group learning experiences foster cooperation, communication, and confidence in a social learning environment.
- Physical development: Fine and gross motor activities support writing skills, hand-eye coordination, and overall movement.
By integrating early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development, our program ensures that children are well-prepared to thrive in their next educational journey.
Supporting and nurturing our youngest learners as they take their first steps towards independence.
School Readiness Learning Goals

Physical Coordination and Movement
Children refine their gross and fine motor skills through activities that promote balance, coordination, and body awareness. They engage in movement-based games, structured physical activities, and hands-on tasks that prepare them for the physical demands of school life. (EYLF Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.)

Independence & Responsibility
As they transition to a more structured learning environment, children develop self-help skills such as organizing their belongings, following daily routines, and managing personal responsibilities. They learn to take initiative in packing away, making choices, and completing tasks with minimal assistance. (EYLF Outcome 1: Children develop a strong sense of identity.)

Cognitive Development and Problem-Solving
Through inquiry-based learning, children are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and solve problems independently and collaboratively. They explore real-world concepts through hands-on experiences, supporting their ability to analyze situations and adapt to new challenges. (EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.)

Focus, Attention, and Active Listening
Children develop concentration, patience, and the ability to follow multi-step instructions. They practice active listening and sustained attention, key skills needed for classroom learning. Activities such as storytelling, group discussions, and guided tasks enhance their ability to remain engaged and focused. (EYLF Outcome 5: Children engage in meaningful interactions.)

Emotional Regulation and Social Development
Building resilience and emotional intelligence is a key focus. Children learn to express their thoughts and emotions effectively, manage frustrations, and engage in cooperative play and discussions. Educators provide strategies to help children navigate social interactions, understand emotions, and build strong relationships. (EYLF Outcome 1: Children develop confidence and social-emotional skills.)

Early Literacy and Numeracy Foundations
School readiness includes exposure to foundational literacy and numeracy concepts. Children practice recognizing and writing their names, understanding numbers, and engaging in pre-reading and writing activities. Through play-based and structured learning experiences, they develop a love for learning that sets them up for success. (EYLF Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators.)

Confidence in Communication and Self-Expression
Children develop confidence in speaking, listening, and expressing themselves clearly in group settings. They participate in storytelling, role-playing, and discussions, enhancing their ability to communicate ideas, contribute to conversations, and share experiences with others. (EYLF Outcome 5: Children interact verbally and non-verbally with peers and educators.)
